ABOUT

Welcome to my About page, the starting point of this site.

I’m Nasaiah Algarin, a Public Relations and Strategic Communication major with a minor in Education Studies at American University. My story is shaped by movement, identity, and duality. I come from two islands: Puerto Rico and Cape Verde, on opposite sides of the Atlantic. I was born and raised in the United States, but I’ve always felt like I was moving between worlds. That in-between space is where I’ve learned to live, create, and connect.

This site carries the name you’ll find on my résumé, but its spirit is rooted in something broader. On this site, you will find my personal blog: The Eighth Latitude—a space shaped by direction, rhythm, and change. The number eight, flipped on its side, becomes infinity. That’s how I see this space. Open. Constant. Expanding..

This site is where I map myself. Through essays, visuals, curated moments, and soft design, I offer glimpses of how I think, how I create, and how I move through the world.

Every role, every project, every post, and every page is part of the same goal: to connect. To tell stories that carry weight. To build spaces that feel clear, personal, and thoughtful.

Whether you’re here to explore, reflect, or just look around, I’m glad you made it.

Let’s begin.
